Our History

Kohlman Hardware, Heating and Tinning began when a small town hardware store was purchased by Frank Kohlman in 1913. The business was later owned by Herman, Robert and Douglas Kohlman. The photo below is the original building located in the middle of downtown Saint Cloud, Wisconsin.

In 1970, a decision was made to specialize in heating, ventilation and air conditioning. The company is currently owned and operated by Douglas Kohlman.

Today our company employs twelve full and part time employees. Our technicians have been trained through apprenticeship programs specializing in either sheet metal fabrication, pipe fitting or heating and refrigeration service.  

D.R. Kohlman is capable of handling jobs ranging from the smallest residential to the more complex commercial and design build projects. It is our goal to keep up with the rapid changes in technology and equipment to better serve our customers' needs. With our 24-hour emergency service we will be there right away to help you with whatever problems your comfort system may have.
